Welcome to Agape Church
1. Proclamation of God’s Love:
We believe that God’s people should proclaim His love towards each other, with poised purpose and meaning.
5. We value people who are hopeless and helpless:
We believe that the body of Christ should be a beacon of hope to those who are living in sin.
6. We value perpetual covenants:
We believe that marriage is God’s institution and should be observed, preserved and strengthened.
7. Brokenness and Contrition:
We believe that the coming of Christ is eminent; His return will not be for religious people, but those whose heart has been transformed by the renewing of their mind.
8. Reaching the lost at every cost:
God is a God of love. He is also a just God. He cannot allow sin and wickedness to go unpunished.
9. Equipping, Empowering & Elevating God’s people:
We believe that ordinary people can do extra-ordinary things for Christ and His church through the power of the Holy Spirit.
10. Community Engagements and Actions:
We believe the great commission that Christ gave to church to make disciples of every nation. Therefore, we seek to develop, equip, send and support missional causes.
The goal of our mission is to Encouraged Equipped and Empowered every person to fulfill the objective of communica-ting God’s love and compassion to all people, both locally and globally. Our aim is to mobilize ordinary people to do extra-ordinary things for Christ and His church.
Matthew 28:19-20 “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
Missions will be an intricate part of Agape Church. This will be a means by which we will focus externally. We want to be the church that breathe missions
The United States has produced the most missionaries in the world. So many have sent a large portion of their resources to foreign countries while neglecting home missions. It will be part of our mission strategy to partner with local organiza-tions that are involved in one or more of the following: Feeding the poor and needy Clothing for those who are needy
Provide transportation to the hospital and doctors appointments caring for the widowscar-ing for the orphans and children
2. Global Missions
This mission encompasses the entire globe. There are some major giants that we the church cannot underestimate. Today these giants are real and very present in our society. It is our desire to partner with global organizations that are involved in any of the following social programs.
3. Planting Churches
The church is a rescue mission for the world. Our strategy is to launch more churches in the state of Florida and beyond. Historically, creating new churches has been the greatest way to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ.
A Commitment to Spiritual Growth
The journey of spiritual growth is a lifelong process. Like regeneration, it is an act of God performed in the justified heart whereby new spiritual life is generated. This growth is spiritual, financial, numerical and structural.
A commitment to Cultural Relevance
We are living in a world that is constantly evolving. Many Christians cannot relate because they are stuck on being religious and “Churchy”. The Church must be on the cutting edge of evolution and the leading force with the message of Jesus Christ.
A Commitment to Small Groups
Jesus demonstrated to us the significance of small groups when He called out twelve of His disciples. Then He even made it smaller when He established a strong relationship with Peter, James and John. Small groups will be the heart beat of our functionality.
A Commitment to The Fruit of The Spirit
4. Patience (Longsuffering)
We are committed to live these out in our own personal life and help others believers to live these out. These fruits; not only reflect the image of Christ but also the personification of who He is.
1. Prayer Team
It is our intention and desire to enlist 40 committed prayer warriors who will journey with us throughout this process. That process already began with 10 commitments.
2. Prayer and fasting
We believe that this journey will not be effective without the dualship of prayer and fasting. Fasting has been a crucial component of Agape Church We already started a regular voluntary fast every Tuesday.
Acts13:2-3 While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them. (3) So after they had fasted and prayed, they placed their hands on them and sent them off.
3. Prayer Drive
As we navigate through the streets of Coral Springs and surround-ing cities we realized several key locations such as the parks, shopping center, college campuses, etc. These locations will be prayed over as we drive by these strategy locations. Our prayers will be – God prepare the hearts and minds of these people to receive the message we will bring to them at the right time.
4. Prayer Walks
Peter, James and John were walking to the temple to pray when they met a man who was begging. They immediately responded with these words “Silver and Gold” have we not but such as we have gave it unto you, “In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.” There’s some-thing to say about walking and praying it keeps the people in front of our hearts and thoughts.
Reaching a target market requires the most effective and successful methods and that is “Direct Mailing”. It comes with a high price and that will consume a large portion of our marketing budget. As we prepare to publicly launch our ministry, there will be three large pre-launch mailings. We will continue to use this method as funds allow throughout the life of Agape Church
We are in the preliminary stages of conducting simple surveys of the people within the community. Our basic questions will be: Where do they go to church? How often do they go? Why they don’t go? What kind of church would they like to see in their community that they would attend? What would they like church to provide for them?
Everyone and anywhere, we will spread the Word. These cards will provide basic information about Agape Church including but not limited to location address, service times, website address and telephone number.
4. Community Billboards
We will get the word out in as much FREE advertising and exposure as possible. Local newspaper, such as shepherds guide, Christian literature, bulletin board and online via internet.
5. College Campuses
We endeavor to work with our local Colleges and Technical schools. (i.e) Broward College, Florida Atlanta University, Atlanta Vocational Technical, Kaiser University and many others.
6. Word of Mouth
As we create the excitement during our weekly services, our hope and prayer is to inspire the attendees to communicate the existence of Agape Church to their friends and families. This is the most effective form of promotion. Strong emphasis will be placed on creating the type of services that people would be proud to bring their families and Friends.
To glorify God by strengthening our community with the foundation of biblical teachings, steadfast prayer and family fellowship.
Agape Church Exists to bring hope, Redemption, Reconciliation and Restoration to the people of Coral Springs and surrounding cities, to discovering or re-discovering a fresh relationship with Jesus Christ, through vibrant passionate worship, fellowship and relevant biblical teachings.
